Chef Nathan Thomas is the co-owner of Hungry Bear Catering, bringing more than 25 years of executive chef and food service leadership to every event. A former Executive Chef at Penn National Gaming and Taste of the Town (United Way) award winner, Nathan built his career leading large culinary teams and delivering high-quality dining experiences. After retiring at 50 as a Food Service Administrator with the Department of Justice, he returned to his fine dining roots to create chef-driven catering known for bold flavors, polished presentation and flawless execution.
Dave Tiberio
David is the Co-Owner of Hungry Bear Catering. He is an accomplished restaurant and hospitality leader with experience in large-scale food service operations. David blends decades of food service leadership with a passion for hospitality and event excellence. With over 24 years of food service experience, David brings high-volume expertise and a commitment to quality and consistently exceeding client expectations with every catered event.
Prior to Hungry Bear, David served as a Food Administrator with the Department of Justice for 24 years where he led large-scale dining operations, managed multi-million-dollar budgets, and supervised volume meal production in highly regulated environments.
David’s experience also includes managing Tiberio’s Restaurant, his family’s restaurant located in Morgantown, WV. David was responsible for front- and back-of-house coordination, labor management, inventory control, vendor relations and maintaining a consistent, welcoming dining experience for guests. His hands-on leadership strengthened operational efficiency while preserving the family-oriented service culture that defined the restaurant.
